This site was inspired by fourteenminutes.com/fun/words/ which, for a long time was my favorite random word generator. However, it didn't have all the options I wanted so I finally built my own.
The underlying code uses Markov chains but the theory made my head spin. Instead I developed the algorithms from first principles and only then realized that I was using Markov's system (heh).
Random words are useful for creating usernames and passwords.
For passwords, you can also try the Axantum Password Generator - it creates strong passwords that aren't impossible to remember.
This site uses a session cookie to remember your last-used settings. It doesn't last long and is deleted automatically when you close your browser. But if you want to reset it manually right now, you can use this link: Reset
